October Update

Hello, hello, and welcome to October.  Summer is reluctantly starting to loosen its chokehold in some places, and pumpkin spice has already kicked down doors to inundate foodstuffs and candle stores everywhere. It's also the advent of "spooky season" and drawing challenges that I may or may not participate in.

I honestly expected to update before now, and regret falling behind, but that's the way life goes sometimes. At the very least, I'm working on a Collegiate Creatures concept to celebrate Halloween, starting with "Gorgon vs. Were-Cat" -- extra points if you can guess the colleges before the print(s) comes out.

​

I'm also moving into the production phase of items for the upcoming PalmCon; it's a humbling experience, but one that resulted in learning and laughs. I will post the list of items that will be available as I stock them but wanted to take a break to mention that I will put up a dedicated Gallery page for the website itself also. Though laughable, I admit that I am very much guilty of letting enthusiasm propel me far into projects, and then common-sense snags me by the ear, tells me to sit down, and we plan together to try getting through the rest of whatever it is.

At the very least, I wanted to share something new and positive for the month of October. And yes, some of the upcoming items appear to be influenced by many of the recent science- and space-related events -- discoveries of new comets and ancient underwater cities, new and old planets possibly being inhabited, and so much more. On some level, I'm reminded of when I was a kid and wanted to be an astronaut, and it's coming out in my sketches. I can't wait to share with you all.
